Our Origin
Citizens of Our Planet was founded in 2021 by husband and wife duo, Alina and Nicolas Vandenberghe.
Of Romanian and French descent, respectively, Alina and Nicolas have found immense value in their diverse and inclusive environment. It’s a community that has been invaluable to building their company, Chili Piper, with a foundation of inclusivity, respect, and acceptance.
Their passion for diversity, equity, and world peace permeates their lives and business. Through Citizens of Our Planet, they are honored to begin their philanthropic efforts with foundation gifts to the following organizations:
Our Mission
Citizens of Our Planet is a 501(c3) foundation by Chili Piper, founded on the belief that we are all connected and citizens of the same world. The foundation will fund and create programs united by three main themes:
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
World Peace
Ending Violence
Chili Piper has more than 100 employees across 84 cities in 22 countries. This global connectivity has been essential to its success. The foundation’s aim is to forge similar bonds across borders while leading a movement where tech companies use their resources to make the world a better place.
